Considering moving to S4 from Evo X MR
#11
Did the test drive: verdict: I'm trading in the Evo for a prestige model S4.
Love the low end power, its insane, no lag. The interior is awesome and crazy quiet (change gears and the engine sounds the same its so quiet).
I think the transmission software is better in the Evo and so are the paddles. I hate that the Audi transmission will kickdown by itself when you are in manual mode and that the shifter goes the wrong way. But the 7th gear and no tranny lag win out.
So how did I get my music into the MMI? Can i plug a usb stick loaded with Mp3s into? or put it on an iPod and plug that in?

Apples and Oranges
In my opinion you are trying to compare the non-comparable.
I have both and 2003 Evo 8 450whp with 26k on the clock and a new 2012 S4. Both are great cars but other then them being AWD, thats where the comparison ends.
If you are looking for uber comfort and refinement with a high degree of sportiness go with the S4. If you are looking for a car for the track go with the evo.
I am over 40 and still get pulled over all of the time with my Evo, I have my S4 modified on the exterior the exact same as my evo and have yet to get pulled over even though I drive the car faster on the street.
Good luck either way, its a great decision to have to make.
