Does it really? It looks too narrow so I've never even tried it. I don't drink soda but once or twice per year though.

I just tried it and indeed a diet coke fit into the small cup holder.

That's what she thought too

I don't drink or eat in my car, but yes, they looks smaller than they acually are.

I find that since the cup holder is directly behind the shifter a bottle will be in my way unless I have the armrest propped up above the drink. This can be slightly annoying.

Cup holder size doesn't really bother me, the annoying thing is any coffee or water bottle you put there will directly obstruct how you operate the MMI **** and buttons, so as most guys here I just leave it empty.

Really? I have a sealed coffee cup that sits in mine sometimes, and never hinders my access to the MMI or other controls.

These cupholders are so superior to the cup launchers that were on the B6 S4s, I can hardly believe that people can still find reason to complain about them.

The tie for worst cupholders ever in my car history is between a 1999 Honda Civic in which the holders were about 2cm. deep so that any drink container one placed in there would tip over at the first corner, and a 1997 Subaru Outback in which the holders sprung forth from the center dash so that any container would obstruct all of the main climate and stereo controls, plus would splash beverage across the dashboard when one hit a bump in the road.
