You are all correct. It's a lease who really cares in the end? However, I would have bought it unless a newer vehicle caught my eye more. Now, I will probably enjoy the hell out of it, maybe mod it a little less, turn it in at the and look forward to the next one. Which will be discounted with the Audi loyalty rebate all things being equal.
The value at the end remains the same at 57% of msrp. My large down payment ONLY affects the monthly pmts during the lease. It worked for me. Yes, I could have banked the money and had higher payments. I chose the former.
Also, with the repair which will be complete on Friday, I am having the rear valance painted to match the car instead of the stock gray. I like that look a little better, although it isn't a huge change. It will make my car "different". That, along with the tainted carfax report.

Good Point but too late now. As long as it is in good shape, I don't see a problem. Certain models do have color matched valances.
