Yea apparently not everything was accutately updated...

For those in Cali, the Grand Legacy has shown up again leaving this Panama Canal - she is off the coast of Baja right now, scheduled in port at SD tomorrow:

http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/def...0&type_color=7

This puts a ship leaving Bremerhaven, Germany on 10/13, arriving 10/23 in Brunswick, Ga US. Then leaving there a few days later, and getting to SD on 11/05.

From this, if our ship departs from that port, taking similar route and times, we would see arrival in Brunswick, Ga on ~11/27. I know mine is supposed to actually offload in Houston, Tx though so...another 4-5 days there, with 2 in port at Ga for offloading - Houston on ~12/04. This is dead on what is predicted so far.

For those in the Cali area, it was 12 days from Ga, I'd say it will be a few less even with a 2 day unloading, so I'd expect an arrival in SD of about 12/15 or so. I think you will all have a very merry Xmas

The above is all extrapolated data and is totally prediction based, and in no way a guarantee

Not good news for me, as the dealer delivery date is now week of 1/4...

Release for Production: 10/22
Ship Loaded: 11/20
Port Arrived: 12/15
Release to Carrier at Port: 12/22
Dealer Delivered: 1/4

This is a huge departure from my 12/16 delivery date. The dates between Port Arrived and Dealer delivered is about 2.5 weeks, which seems a little long. Here's to hoping it comes early now.
I just called my dealer and got fantastic news! My original ETAs were:
Ship Loaded 11/12
Port Arrived 12/09
Rel. to Carrier 12/16
Dealer Delivered 12/28

However, NOW they are:
Ship Loaded 10/26
Port Arrived 11/23
Rel. to Carrier 12/02
Dealer Delivered 12/07

I know that some of those dates are still ETAs, but knowing that it's on the boat makes me feel great. I'm back to being excited again. I'm hoping the best for everyone and that Santa brings your S4s before Christmas.

Niiiice, congrats! Seems like your actual dates are more spot on with your original delivery information.

OMG, Shadow, he totally ditched us! I can't believe you left us at port and jumped an earlier boat

Grats man - how did you get this info from your stingy SA? Did you drop the hammer on him?

Default Hoping for December Arrival

I've been lurking here for a while, learning a lot, and finally ordered my B8 S4. Just got the following dates from the dealer:

Order Entry: 10/8/2009
Release to Manuf: 10/26/2009
Requested Production Week: 11/23/2009
Assigned Production Week: 11/30/2009
Ship Loaded: 12/20/2009
Port Arrived: 1/4/2010
Release to Carrier: 1/9/2010
Dealer Delivered: 1/18/2009

I had originally placed a deposit on 9/21/2009 and the dealer found a car with the right configuration in New York, but was unable to reach agreement on a car to trade for it. They went back and forth for 2 1/2 weeks before finally placing the factory order. I wanted to take delivery before the end of the year to get the State Sales Tax stimulus deduction. Now it looks like I'll lose that. Bummer.

I did see that many of the recent orders are coming in earlier than the original estimates. Hopefully mine will squeak in before Jan 1.

I believe everything west coast is San Diego, then by rail. There are exceptions, though - Seattle comes off the same ship bound for San Diego in Houston, TX, then by rail from there so that is a possibility also.

Does it have to be based on delivery date in order to file for the tax credit? I was hoping to get mine in before the end of the year also.

Ordered 9.28.09. Haven't heard back yet on an approx. delivery date.
