According to the Houston incoming ships schedule. Still seems odd that my SA was assured mine was on Triton Highway, then 6 days later when that was not at all looking to make the journey it was supposed to they said "well it loaded on 11/28 (2 days before Triton was even in port) and will definitely arrive in Houston on 12/16 (no mention of why it had suddenly changed from 12/14).

WOW that was a fast unload. This had to be only a few cars coming off, or they hit the shift change at the docks dead on, because Athens Highway is UNDER WAY again already. Barely 9.5 hours in Baltimore.
Due in Brunswick @ 5am on the 11th (the way she has been making steam she will beat this I think, it's not 1.5 days to Brunswick).

The thing that seems odd to me is that this information apparently is not on a dealer-accessible database. The SA calls someone and gets information over the phone. Huh? In my case it is obvious the person called knew the schedule from their response "it's only 5 days to the dealer from port rather than 15" - but they still refused to provide actual dates, ship name or even port name.
I think the delay and last-minute switching among ships is Audi's attempt to deliver as many vehicles to NA as possible in time for counting in dealers' 2009 statistics. I'll bet that is an important consideration this time of year - especially with the economy this year.

Well the Triton Highway appears to be late into Halifax. It was due at 8pm last night, and is at least 14 hours late. My delivery by Christmas is looking less likely. When you buy an S-4 shouldn't it be delivered by a faster ship. An S-4 at 12 knots just doesn't seem right.

Well we don't know that it didn't make it to Halifax, only that it was not sending or being picked up by the AIS trasnmitters.
That said, south GA has no one doing the reception part publicly, and Athens Highway was just picked up for a single position reading an hour ago, turning towards Brunswick, GA, so it should be in that port in the next 2 hours.

Putting it into port a day early now.
