Well, amazingly, it's going to be here on exactly the day they said it would be upon ordering 2 months ago. It's on a truck now and should be here Monday!
Side note: mark me as one of the ones fooled by Audi's completely inane packaging where I would have ordered the side assist if I knew the Prestige didn't come with the backup camera (as it does in the premium plus with Nav). I was pretty upset and then calmed down and realized this isn't a deal breaker. But, I called around to other dealerships just to see what's available in S4's in the s-tronic and one of them ran an east coast check for me because if they had what I wanted I would have eaten the deposit and moved on. Well, to say pickings are slim is an understatement. Just a couple of "stock" S4's with no frills were around and they were demos... This is obviously as hot a car as everyone thinks.

New NEWS (for me)
Just got confirmation from my SA: My S4 was on the Athens Highway, which arrived in port of Houston yesterday around 3pm local time. It was offloaded and should be released from customs for transport today!
Might just see it for Xmas after all, but should DEFINITELY see it before New Years!

For us californians waiting anxiously...
My S4 according to Audi arrives in San Diego by Monday Dec 21. The Daedalus Leader scheduled to arrive at San Diego Friday the 18th at midnite. They probably can unload cars Saturday but no PDI, official Audi procedure, can start before Monday. From Port of San Diego arrivals matches the profile of the Daedalus since I know my car loaded the same day the Daedalus was at Emden. So i am very hepeful everything gets clarified Monday and that cars can start trucking by Wednesday.

I've been following this thread for a while now. Thanks for all the input guys! I'm in the last stretch of my waiting period and wanted to ask if anybody in the New England area has an estimated arrival date around New years similarly to mine?
My dates:
Order entry 10/19
Factory inspected 12/2
Ship loaded 12/9
ETA port arrival 12/28 and delivery at MA dealer 1/4.
My original delivery date was 1/18, thus I can't complain. However, I'm still hoping to be driving my new S4 before the end of the year. I have not tried to find out the ship name.

Fog delays @ Houston port today
Just talked to the sales manager at Rober Beasley Audi in Austin, Texas. My A4 was supposed to arrive at the Houston port today. But, apparently bad weather; esp. fog - is slowing things down and freighters are backing up some. Hopefully, the delay will only be a couple days and I'll still get my new A4 before Christmas!

Hrm, it probably is a different ship. Marine Traffic is reporting the Daedalus Leader off the coast of Baja. Last position recorded ~5 mins ago as of this post.
