After following a couple of ships on marinetraffic.com for the last few weeks, I noticed a couple of things: (1) once the ship gets out in open water, its position is no longer tracked; and, (2) even when it *is* close to land, if the ship isn't reporting its position, it won't show up.

Also, there must be multiple itineraries for the ships. The ship my car was on only made two stops in the U.S.: Baltimore and San Diego. So who knows what ports other people's ships will put in to.

I'm curious about Euro delivery. First, why did you choose it? Second, what exactly is involved with Euro delivery? I assume you go over there and get it? Then what?

Well, mine has been sitting at the dock since 11/13, but didn't make it onto the boat on 11/20 (as per the ETA) - it is now scheduled to load on 11/28.

Anyone else scheduled to load then?

I'm scheduled in the system load on 11/30. My production week is #48 which starts tomorrow.

Somehow I keep getting screwed here, and I am not sure why.

Latest update this morning from my SA:

Ship load day has changed to 11/28

Port arrival has changed to 12/14

Dealer arrival date changed to 01/11



Not sure what the deal is/was.
Will send more info after I get email back from distribution, whom I emailed for a ship name.

Damn. I'm no expert on Audi manufacturing and distribution, but your scenario seems really odd. Sorry to hear that your date keeps getting pushed back.

This car is slated to board ship #289, Triton Highway, which is scheduled to depart on December 1st.

Departed about 2 days ago from Halifax, Canada - Due in Emden 11/30. So should be able to load on 12/1. I still think with that depending on where she goes before Houston, it should be here prior to Xmas though

So, anyone wanting shipping info - contact your SA and have them email Audi Distrubution, you CAN and will get a VIN# and Ship/voyage name/number. Apparently some are just too lazy or not informed that they can do this.

I wonder if all of the cars that were scheduled to be shipped on the 20th got pushed back to the end of the month. It seems strange that a car sitting at port from the 13th wouldn't be loaded on a boat on the 20th. If this is the case, then that really sucks.

I haven't gotten a hold of my SA yet, but I'm guessing that my ship date was also pushed back
