I'd encourage all who are unsure (or even if you are sure maybe) to check with your SA. Mine said that another customer who had an A5 on order was also pushed back to this boat as well even though it was already built. Could be that more were built than there was hold space for on the ships - a ship had trouble and was taken out of service causing a backup or who knows what.

Rather than be disappointed, I'd check again - this is very likely why a 2 week buffer seems to be built in with regards to time it leaves the factory to time at the dealer from what has historically been taking much less time than Audi forcasts.

The Cosmos venture is on the English channel now moving slowly ; needs to moor somewhere. I found out it is capable of doing almost 20 knots if it is in the mood.
I think my S4 is there

Mine will be on the Triton Highway, she is somewhere in the northern atlantic, about 4 days from the English Channel now. Heading to Emden to get my baby, then come back this way.

Whoo hoo! I got a VIN today. No word on what ship. This will be east coast delivery, I'm assuming the rhode island port.

I'm assuming that "in transit from factory" means it's heading to the dock?

Sounds like my ship too. It's due in to port 11/30 and I am due to load 12/1.

Yes, in transit to port means it's on a train heading to Emden from the Factory

Depending on your distance from Rhode Island (or Brunswick GA depending on where your nearest port is)...well since it's due in Houston 12/14, that means RI at least around 12/9-12/10. I don't see it taking till 12/21 for you - more like 12/13 is realistic.

Got this email from my SA this morning:

Good news! YOUR car has been completed, and was "ship loaded" on 11/19. Vin# WAUMGxxxxxxxxxxxx
"Port arrival" is still expected on 12/15, and "dealer delivery" is charted for "the week of 01/04/2010".
We're getting closer!

I'm pretty excited. Hope it doesn't take that long to get from the port to the dealership.

The S4 might be on the Cosmos venture which loaded the 19th in Emden. It is headed to Davisville but I dont think is making progress because it has been turning in circles the last 2 days near Brixham in the English Channel. I guess it is scheduled to arrive at San Diego on the 15 th.
