Default Delete front plate piece for B8 S4- is this cost right?

My car came in with a front place center piece in the grill, I live in a state that does not use front plates so I want the delete piece. Dealer quoted $400 to get me the "no front plate" piece and install it.

Does that sound right to you guys? Is there anywhere else I can buy the part for less?

Thanks,
Aaron

My sales rep told me that if I ordered it with the car there would be no charge for that piece.

I believe it's a no charge option at the bottom of the S4 build page. $400 seems high but don't forget that the dealer is probably doubling or trippling their cost and adding 1-2 hours (?) of labor at dealer rates. I'd say go take a look and see if it'a an easy install or maybe talk to one of the dealer techs. If so then consider installing it yourself. Whatever you do, don't let saving a few hundred dollars mess up your $50-60K car.

it is retardedly easy...

2 screws... Torx on the bottom of the bar to the left and right sides... the bar itself clips on in like 6 places.

i've changed from a license plate bar to a carbon fiber delete now... it has taken me no more than 5 minutes to install.
