I flashed my GTI without telling my wife as I don't need her permission with discretionary money. She was very impressed when she first took the GTI out after the flash. She said" what the hell did you do to the car" She asked me the otter day when I was going to flash the S4. I'm not bored with the car yet so I'm holding off for now. I say go for it. It is money well spent.

LOL Yeah, but she can counter that too easily, saying "It's more likely that the more power you have, the quicker you can get into trouble!"
You just have to get your phrasing right. Tell her it helps you to more easily "accelerate out of danger" - which is relatively harder to counter as "Nobody is going to purposively 'accelerate into danger' - right honey?"
