Find another S5 Cab to test drive

the S4 DSG is lightyears ahead of steptronic which i hated when i was given a loaner 2010 335i.

I am very interested in the S4 and test drove an S5 cabrio with DSG today-cause they didn't have an S4....it felt lathargic to me and had a noticeable clank when i shifted manually.

I had driven an S4 about 3 weeks ago and it felt better without any noises.

My S5 Cab is far, far from being "lathargic" and there is no clank, etc. when shifting either in "auto" or "manual" mode. In fact, I find my S5 Cab scary fast compared to my old 2004 S4 Cab which was a 6spd manual.

OK - I drove the S4 again today. If anyone wants a yellow Prestege with carbon and sport diff, my dealer has one with your name on it.

Anyway, here's my revised thoughts now...

it feels like the S4 pulls harder at low RPMs, I felt like I really had to get on the 335 to feel the power.
the S4 seats and steering wheel are better.
I still think the 335 cockpit is better (I like simplicity) - but I've warmed up to the S4.
the S4 suspension with the sport diff feels way better in hard corners than the 335 xDrive suspension - not even close here. I'm sure the regular 335 with sport suspension would do much better. I know I can buy aftermarket - I did that on my 330, but I don't really want to bother.

So, it looks like for me it's going to be the S4 for the win!
