Default East Coast 2011 Order ?

Hey All,

Went to New Country in Greenwich CT last weekend and ordered black\black & red, manual, 19', carbon inlays NAV etc. First off, been reading this forum for the last few months which answered a ton of questions and gave some great feedback, much appreciated, and looking forward to joining the group.

That being said, was in on Saturday, had my comm # by Monday morning with the SA telling me that they are the largest dealer in the US, have large allocation when it comes to ordering, and since we are on the east coast they avaoid a ton of frieght time. He said I should be looking at Mid-August.

Anyone on the east coast order from or near there and get the same response? Does that seem logical? Thx

I ordered mine last week and have a commission # but my dealer didn't really give me any sort of arrival date. I was just assuming about 3 months from what everyone else's experience has been.

Oh, and I am in MD.

This just a guess, but I'd say that is correct. If we are on the east coast, I'd imagine that we'd be amongst the first stops since the boat is coming from Europe. That is assuming that the other coast doesn't have their own boats.

@Rhytid: call 1-800-822-2834 ext 4. Depending on who you get, you may be able to find out more info. Though one week might too soon to find out much.

My car was already asembled and met the match that I was looking for. The dealer indicated four weeks for delivery and it took six so the tmeline your looking at does not suprise me.

Yeah, I figure I will give a good month before I call to see what the status is.

But thanks for the number.

aefwd - Just FYI - There is a special Automotive section in this morning's NYTimes, and New Country Audi took out a full-page ad with the headline "Why Settle For Stock?" and the following text in big type just below the headline: "Now to July 4th! Take Advantage of pre-order incentives when you order your custom built 2011 Audi".

I was going to call them to see if they would tell me what the incentives are and if they are for all of Audi or just for New Country, and if they are Audi incentives whether they can be applied to cars that are already on order. But you as a current customer (who ordered the same week the ad came out!) might want to call them instead and see what the deal is. You probably have it, but the number is 203-987-4873. If you don't want to call them for whatever reason post up and I'll call them.

I called my SA today (Fairfield Audi) and checked. I have a week of 09 Aug delivery date. Ordered in May. If the dealer had an allocation, I think it is feasible. Mine is supposed to go into production on Monday.

I believe the boat comes into RI and the car is then trucked across.

That Ad is a ploy to get cusomters in . Audi does not have any incentives on the 2011 . They only have the customer Loyalty. We can match any price. We have A4's arriving in 2 weeks. We get the car the same time as them. The time from Europe is the same for all places just different ports... The saying that he said " Saving Tons of Freight time " is funny. Goodluck and enjoy the car.
