Default exhaust gurus... some help? cross post

Here are my options.

-Pick up a used APR exhaust 1500 shipped
-Buy brand New AWE exhaust and the retail which I beleive is 1550 + whatever shipping will cost
-Milltek non res quads
-any other exhaust

Just want the best sound + Look for my S4... Dont want to get crazy on price but sound is important to me. I was set on the APR but someone told me on here that it makes a whistling noise due to some fins in the system.. Anyone with experience in hearing/owning/dealing with more than one of these in person for comparison please chime in. I plan on doin this during this week just need to know if 1500 for the APR with 8k on it shipped to me is worth it or my other options are better due to real experience. I watch the videos but without great speakers I have no real comparison..

Thanks,
E

I went with the Milltek Non-Res with the dp's. I went on the comparison done over on AZ. It showed the AWE, Milltek, Stasis, and Stock. I was looking for the loudest sound, and Milltek was much louder than the others. Just depends on what your looking for!

exhaust sounds are pretty personal IMO. I suggest if you can to try to listen to the candidate exhausts locally in person if you can. I did this with a Milltek non-res (Dr. Volkl's) and bought one. The APR has a very different sound to me. One of the local guys here has one (NWS4Guy) which I have heard in person.

BallZDeePNYC:

REMUS USA Rep' here. Have you seen this thread?

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho...ighlight=remus

These systems started out as S5 axle back splice ons, and with a little more research on REMUS' part, they only had to add adaptor tubes to get them to fit the S/ Charged V6 S4. Good results so far. If you want more sound, a Front Resonator delete can take place, but at that point we're not sure how loud it will be. We do know that with the FR's in, our axle back splice ons ($1472.00 List) are getting nice reviews.
