My dealer and this forum told me that the first 5,000 oil change is complimentary. My question is whether this offer is from Audi or the dealer. I bought my S4 from far-away dealer for the better price. If it is offered by Audi, I'd like to go to nearby dealers, but not the one I bought it from. Does anyone know if it's possible? Thanks for the feedback.

I have had my 2011 since 12/31/10 and have only 4200 miles so far. I wonder if it is bad to go so long without getting that 1st oil change. Dealers says wait until at least 4500 miles.

Don't worry about the time...I would get it changed by the 1 year mark though in the event you stopped driving it and are still under the 5,000 mark by Dec of this year.

I got my 2011 on 10/8/2010. The dealership changed my oil around 4.2k miles due to the thermostat TSB, and the fact I was going on a 4500 mile road trip 6 weeks later. I did hit 5200 before the trip. It was no big deal to change it a little early.
Speaking of which, I'm about at the 10k maintenance. Better get that scheduled. (glad I got Audicare)

And for the record, I purchased the S4 from a dealer in Arizona.....and have had no issues to date servicing locally.
