What was the temp? Performance tires lose their grip with it's cold. It can be a very noticable difference.

Oversteering in corners is a guilty pleasure of mine every once in awhile. After checking that the road is safe ahead (usually a road I know well), I'll enter a turn without much excess speed - but with just light braking. Then I'll dramatically oversteer, fishtail a bit, then hit the gas just after the apex of the turn. I then let the sports diff sort things out. Good clean fun...
