So I dropped a follow up line to my SA.......and found out that the issue was never elevated since there were no codes or findings to relate. Since the dealer won't do anything without codes due to fear of warranty kickback.......I told him that I would call Customer Care and get an answer that will be paid for. I am supposed to hear back later this week.

And back it goes tomorrow for additional diagnostics. I am hopeful but not optimistic......but at least I got a brand new A4 loaner.

Stay tuned.
Just purchased a 2010 S4 black two weeks ago used with 10K miles on it. It's my first Audi and I must say I am impressed with the car. I already noticed the same problem with my gas gauge as well. Let me know what the dealer says.

The dealer won't say anything at this point. The fix was done under the TSB. I filled the tank today and reset the trip odometer..........and will see how many miles it takes to blow through the first 1/4 tank.

I consistently went approx 45-50 miles on the first quarter......which doesn't jive with 18mpg (give or take). When I filled up at below 3/4 and it didn't take 4 gallons, something is amiss on a 16+ gallon tank.

Did the TSB fix the problem? I am taking mine in Wednesday for the brake fix and I'll mention this too if it worked. I have the same problem. Mine drops from F in 17 miles!?

I haven't gone through much of the tank (or refilled to check accuracy) but after 40-50 miles, the gauge is still above 3/4 and creeping down slowly and steadily. No initial sudden drops noticed.
