Fun roads to drive
Hey guys,
Just got back from a great afternoon drive in the Colorado mountains, and wanted to start a thread about fun/exciting roads to drive our S4's on. I live in Denver, so I have a lot of options for curvy roads, but one of my favorites is going up to BlackHawk. I take 6th east to I-70 east, then take the second exit for Central City. This road is called Central City parkway, and its perfectly suited for S4 "spirited" driving. 2 lanes in each direction (important for easy passing), tight turns, low traffic, great views. Once you reach Central city/Blackhawk, take 119 back towards golden. I can easily do this drive in about an hour, so its great for a little excitement and doesn't take much time at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions on other roads to check out?

Yes, it is a great road, but very heavily patroled, and usually too crowded.
Much better ones in the vacinity which are less traveled, and more importantly very lightly patroled!
One of my fav's is called "the pigs tail" which is hwy 7 running south from Eureka Springs ARK.

This is a fun road with a couple of hairpin turns and close to a 2500 ft. elevation change.

I can't wait for the weather to warm up.

Highway 36 between Red Bluff (on I-5) and the coast is the most fun I've ever driven any car on. It was a blast on my WRX. When I get my Audi, you can bet that I'll be driving along 36 within the first few months (to visit my mother of course since I grew up out that way).

Just west of downtown Portland, you have several fun roads to drive and carve through. For me, I like taking Skyline out from Cornelius Pass all the way to the Sunset Hwy. There is also Germantown Road, Cornell (West Hills area), Thompson and taking West Union. Definitely got to watch out for the cyclists and heavy fog.
There is also Hwy 219 between Hillsboro and Newberg that has a really good stretch of tight turns. Unfortunately, it is rare to find a good day in which there aren't a whole lot of cars taking that route.
