oh, also, to owners of the b8 s4's (and b7's too...)
can you play a dvd in the dvd player while the car is in drive? if not, is there a simple way to get around that? obviously i wouldn't watch movies while i drive, but it would be nice to be able to allow a passenger to.

The A8 has a slot for a GSM SIM chip, it connects with a cellular data plan, and becomes a hotspot for wifi to use the internet in the car as well. If you want to keep your SIM in your phone you can tether to the car's MMI with BlueTooth to enable it to use your phone data connection.

ipod interface also charges ipods and iphones. nice feature as most integrations don't charge.
3gMMI also has voice recognition added for 2010/2011. works great, understands pretty much whatever you say, or gives you options that always include what you say, and can correlate the spoken word to, for instance, the names stored in your phone. so now you can just press to talk and say, call franki, or call mom, or whatever, and as long as franki or mom are in your phone contacts, it will call them. before you had to voice tag your contacts which was nice. but this is way better.
re the poster who said the new s4 > rs4, despite what car and driver says, it ain't so. i own an rs4, and i have driven several s4s. the rs4 is faster, hands down. 3.0t is a great engine with one hell of a power band, but so is the 4.2, 420hp V8. Both cars have almost all of their torque available nearly all of the time. BUt the RS4 is just more powerful -- there is no denying it. and both handle great, so it's hard to compare. the s4 does now offer the locking rear diff, which is nice, but if i'm not mistaken, it lacks the diagonal suspension set up that works so great on the rs4. as a result, the s4 feels somewhat nose heavy around tight turns. i think c and d are a bunch of crackpots. no way a good driver in an rs4 would lose to an a good driver in an s4 on any track. no way. both are awesome though.

[QUOTE=redrocker55;24034086]This one is worth sharing also!!
Nice find too! Thanks redrocker. Fun watching it with the car in motion -- almost as engaging as looking out the windshield.
