why don't you just have him re do them if you're not happy? you should'nt have to live with anything that isn't perfect unless he told you prior that it wouldn't be and you agreed..

Car looks great. I went with 15% because I like the look of darker tint, but sometimes these pictures make me question it. If I ever get bothered for my 15%, I will atleast do 30%.

Yeah, that's the plan - haven't had a chance to yet and wanted to let them settle. I plan on taking it back in the next week or so.

The pics you posted look great!
Ben, I took some pics to try to show how the rear window was done, but the pics don't really show the details very well at all. Sorry!

In general, the entire window is tinted in a single piece, and you can see the most faint outlines around the window edge texture "bumps" (for lack of a better word) and along the defroster wires where the tint film goes over them.

That sounds what mine looks like. I had called around to a few places that were more expensive to find out what the results would look like over the defroster lines and the frit (dot matrix around the border). It's typical that the tint doesn't perfectly adhere to the defroster lines. I know that some places will, for an extra charge, apply a thin, black vinyl over the frit and then apply the tint. Apparently that makes the bumps look better. Mine turned out looking pretty nicely though.

I wonder how much it would cost a car maker to construct rear windows with the defroster actually embedded in the glass?

Yeah, no problem using the defroster.
