Eurocode Tuning is proud to announce the release of their Überlegenes Stabilisatoren System (ÜSS) for the 2009 and up B8 Chassis A4/S4 & A5/S5. Eurocode’s ÜSS includes four key components which work together to mitigate the body roll that is induced by cornering or road irregularities.

Composed of front and rear lightweight tubular adjustable anti-roll bars and adjustable billet aluminum drop links with spherical joints, Eurocode’s ÜSS system is the most comprehensive released to date.

Eurocode’s ÜSS front stabilizer bar measures in at 32mm and has two adjustment settings which allow a 30% reduction of full stiffness. Eurocode’s ÜSS rear stabilizer bar measures in at 25.5mm and has two adjustment settings which allow a 30% reduction of full stiffness.

The body of Eurocode’s ÜSS front adjustable end link is T7 billet aluminum with a clear type III hard anodize finish, laser engraved with Eurocode’s logo and features a threaded body to house the heim joints. The heim joints feature both left and right hand threads for ease of adjustability while on the car. Adjustability range is 155mm to 195mm. The body of Eurocode’s ÜSS rear endlink is T7 billet aluminum with a clear type III hard anodize finish, laser engraved with Eurocode’s logo. Eurocode’s ÜSS rear end link contains a pair of replaceable spherical bearings with Teflon coated bearing races.

Nearly 18 months of research and design went into development and testing of Eurocode’s ÜSS stabilizer system. “Our goal was to create the finest stabilizer system on the market for the B8 chassis Audi, to accomplish this, we have integrated both front and rear adjustability with our ÜSS sway bars”, said Eurocode principal David Sarabi. “Our ÜSS adjustable end links will allow you to tune your suspension, reduce the flex and fatigue that is prone with the factory rubber end links. The links also increase the effectiveness of the ÜSS sway bar and allow for the corner balancing of the suspension.”

Attention to detail is what sets the ÜSS apart from other kits on the market, Eurocode even includes new OEM replacement hardware with all ÜSS components as the factory hardware is should always be replaced according to the Audi Factory Service Manual.

The Überlegenes Stabilisatoren System is composed of the following components:
  • (1) ÜSS 32mm front stabilizer bar with two adjustment settings (full stiffens or a 30% reduction)
  • (1) ÜSS 25.5mm Rear stabilizer bar with two adjustment settings (full stiffens or a 30% reduction)
  • (4) ÜSS polyurethane bushings (2 front, 2 rear)
  • (2) Packets of silicone bushing lubricant
  • (1) Complete set of OEM Audi front installation hardware
  • (1) Complete set or OEM Audi rear instillation hardware
  • (2) ÜSS billet Aluminum adjustable front spherical end links
  • (2) ÜSS billet Aluminum rear spherical end links

After testing all those products (including our own) extensively, we finalized our bars and came up with a combination that basically leaves the competition in the dust. Being that our company owns a B8 S4 this made it real easy for us to spend all the time needed to fine tune these bars. Most aftermarket companies rarely own the vehicle or spend the amount of time we did on these bars. They simply find a test car (random person), take measurement off their bars, or even purchase OEM bars, increase the tension by a static value and release the product. The B8 chassis, being unique, requires an upgraded front and rear sway bars, as where the previous B5/6/7 cars only needed an upgrade for the rear bar . The bars along with a combination of specific tension contained within the EuroCode ÜSS bars allow the vehicle to feel more neutral and rotate with ease. This concept of specific tension took us over 18 months to figure out and release a system which proved itself at the Eurotuner GP. Our B8 S4 was able to hold its own against a 700+ wheel horsepower, purpose built race car, by 0.008 seconds and left the "super lap winning" supercharged E46 M3 & super charged E92 M3 (520WHP) to eat its dust. Pick up a copy of the 2012 Eurotuner Magazine for more info.

Not a single of these companies provide replacement OEM bolts with their bars. The factory repair manual calls for the bolts securing your sway bar to be replaced. They do so because the stretch bolts are to be used only one time. If other aftermarket companies had as much interest in the B8 chassis as we do, they might have picked up on that very significant detail. All of the EuroCode ÜSS sway bar kits ship out with all new factory replacement bolts. It cost us approximately $40 to include these bolts, naturally this cuts into our profits, but we do so because adding these bolts enhances the end user experience. Also this point should help reinforce the fact that Eurocode has a true understanding of this vital part.

I did the entire "Überlegenes Stabilisatoren System" which is the front/rear sway bars, end links, and the almighty Alu Kreuz. I did it stages to see the difference the entire package made. Now I'm by no means a test pilot driver, in that a cup holder in my german car is a big deal [] . That said, I've owned a BMW wagon (530xi) and a Subaru STi (2009) in the past few years so I can feel performance and handling in the performance gauntlet that is getting groceries and droping kids off at schools.

I can say without a doubt I am amazed at how great Eurocode is to work with. Greg and David bend over backwards to help and available for any questions that may arise. For that reason alone, doing business with Eurocode is worthwhile. Greg answered an email for me on Christmas day of all times. [up]

I installed the Alu Kreuz first and drove with that for a week or so. This mod in itself transforms the vehicle (as many have described), really quite a noticeable change in the response of the car. If I was to use a word, I'd say "snappier".

I secondly installed the front sway bar and adjustable end links on my own (really easy DIY btw), had a shop install the rear sway and end links and drove the car for the last 2-3 weeks. The car is noticeably stiffer on turns, the body roll is virtually non-existent. You can feel the suspension settle (or could be the winter rubber) into the turn but the car then has a rigid/railed feeling. I would dare to say it handles as good as the BMW (not as heavy though), and a lot better than the Subaru STi did. The STi was skippy through the turns, like it wanted to drift, the Audi is more like the BMW in that it settles into a turn and digs into it. A much preferred feeling for me.

All in all, this mod is a GREAT addition for this car and is highly recommended. The quality and fit/finish of the products are really, really good as well. AFAIK the end-links do work with any factory or aftermarket sway bar, the Alu Kreuz is a bolt on improvement on the stock body stabilizer, these additions are a no brainer. Get off your wallet and unlock the pure grocery getting handling efficiency that only the long wait at the school zone crosswalk can bring you. (Your milage may vary).

I picked up a 2012 B8 S4 a little over a week ago. Car has the slip diff, and is still riding on the stock 18's (waiting for the 19" aftermarket rims, after the new year). Decided to give the Alu Kreuz a try before I put on the after market coil overs to see how it would perform on the stock suspension.

Went in and saw the crew at Eurocode (no appointment, sorry guys), first off that place was bumping, car after car being serviced on a Wednesday night. After admiring some pretty nice cars spoke to Greg and Dave about my options. They talked about their new sway bars, and drop links. After thinking about the benefits of the drop links and sway bar I thought maybe I would give them a shot to see what all three of their components would do to a stock suspension.

Dave and the crew started on my car around 10 pm, after feeding me a dinner at midnight, the guys finished around 1:30 in the morning. Much respect to the tech's who stayed and made sure my install went smoothly so late into the night.

Went around the area cruising with David, after the install, he wanted to see if I liked the change. All I can say is WOW. The car handles like a beast right now, even on the stock suspension. Body roll has diminished significantly, and the precision of the steering is phenomenal. Getting on and off the highway has gotten to the point I am laughing as the car is devouring the pavement, and all I am left doing is pointing and shooting. I can't imagine on why Audi would skimp on the drivetrain stabilizer at the factory? At least it should be an upgradeable option like the sports diff. The factory stabilizer was a joke when I was holding it next to the Alu Kreuz. But the donkey of the ball was definitely, the factory drop links. Rubber garbage is all I can say when I saw them. The Eurocode Drop Links are made of some metal compound, and are adjustable. Definitely worth the money.

The Sway Bars, and Drop Links have reduced body roll to a point where I am asking if I really need the coil overs (since I won't be putting in any track days yet), but I will probably go with the coil overs for the look. Will do coil overs with 19's next, then after a few weeks do the tune with pulley. I like to space it out a little so I can feel each upgrade from stock.

I had gone to Eurocode previously, I had a MK6 GTI APR'ed stage 1. Nothing but respect for the fella's, and lady, over there who not only tune the cars, but are constantly seeing where they can bring in their expertise to design parts and transfer their knowledge to the vehicles. These guys are ahead of the curve, and I will continue to go there and just ask what I need done to my car to bring a smile to my face

An excuse to pick up some new parts. (its cheaper than buying a new car ; ) ) Seeing that the Eurocode S4 did well in the Euro Tuner article I figure this would be a great step, as well richib86 highly recommended it.

Dropped Dave a call at Eurocode and let me tell you he knows his B8 suspensions! He gave me a ton of information I didn't know about.

Did you know:
1. the nuts and bolts on the links are all one time use.
2. there are torque specs on all the drop link bolts
3. there are torque specs on the mounting brackets of the sways

All the above I believe helped the S4 handle better.

Here are the pics at the shop.

Great packaging

Drop links and 1 time use hardware

Sways

Installed by Drive Auto Works. (thanks guys, especially Kevin for hanging late you ROCK)

H&R and stock links

Front H&R and Eurocode

Eurocode

Initial Thoughts -
- Great quality on the sways.
- 2 adjustments for both front and rear.
- The drop links are beautiful! (matched the front adjustments with the stock for now)

Driving impression (after 2 days of local and highway driving)

- The handling improved over the H&R set up with stock drop links. The way I can describe it - the first time you drove your car after you installed your Alu Kreuz. The Euro Code drop links and sways provided a precise, crisp, cleaner, tighter performance. This set up provided more confidence. I only can say I can't wait to get more miles on this set up and back to my summer set up. (currently running snows)

I have a set of H&R front and rear sways for sale hit me up ; )

I am interested in these sway bars and the drivetrain stabilizer from Eurocode. The only concern I have is Audi trying to void the warranty on the Drive Select suspension. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

You shouldn't have any issues. If you do, you can always put the stock parts back on before you take it in for service. I really doubt a dealership will go out of their way to note a drivetrain stabilizer or sways on your file.

It's possible that they can. It's really up to them.
