I set out this weekend to import my entire music library (about 40 GB) onto the car's HD. However I probably only got about 20% done and the car said the HD was at capacity.
I could have sworn we had something like 80GB, but maybe it's more like 10GB?
Anyone know off hand?

In part, the hard drive used needs to be able to handle the bumps and vibrations and probably have to deal with higher temperatures than ones found in desktops or laptops. I think the drive used by Audi is either a 1.8" or a 2.5" hard drive. My guess is that the next generation MMI will use a higher capacity drive. I'm not saying that it doesn't make Audi cheap, but it's a consideration.
I use the SD slots, which is significantly easier to load and switch out music than dealing with the MMI hard drive. Sure, I'd probably load music that I really, really like on the drive at some point, but playlists can't span sources (i.e.: between the two SD slots).
