That is steep for repairs, I was surprised that I was around $7k for a "Bumper Repair"

Good luck and hope all turns out well

I feel your pain.

I awoke this morning to find this surprise in the parking lot:

Apparently, two people are incapable of backing a U-Haul truck into several open parking spaces without hitting someone's car.

I hope they at least left a note or contacted you. Thats messed up but thankfully the car is still drivable and that shouldn't destroy your resale value

I talked with the guy who hit my car in the parking lot and got his information. We have the same insurance company so I hope this will not be too difficult.

Shouldn't be too difficult. Pics make it look like the scratch is too deep and you'll need a new bumper skin, 1 rear sensor (although I have heard argument for replacing all 4 but I think thats more with major impacts) and paint and install. Shouldn't be a big deal. If its gonna go through insurance though it may come up on car fax and that may decrease your resale value which is what Im pissed about more then anything else. I don't PLAN on selling the car in the next 5-7 years but who knows what fun toys will be out in a few years.

Default OEM Parts???

Hi, first of let me say I am very sorry for the damages to your car! That sucks!
Secondly, I just wanted to ask if you are aware what sort of parts are they authorized to use by your insurance? I read some articles about insurance companies forcing the use of 3-rd party subpar parts and rarely pay for OEM parts, which might be OK for "normal" cars but not so for high performance vehicles such as S4. They said you might have to put up a fight to prove OEM parts are needed, or pay the difference yourself, which can be quite a sum. Right now there seem to be only one insurance company that promises use of OEM parts for audis, but they ratings do not look too good...

All the best to you and I hope you find and nail that SOB, it might have been a person and not just the car!

I've seen the invoices and it's all either oem or better. The springs will be H&R, sways will be E ccode, caliper, axel, bumper is all oem. Exhaust is Milltek again.
