This is a RTFM manual question but I don't feel like it. How do I turn on the rain sensing wipers?

From what I remember from RTFM, the intermittent setting is the rain sensing mode. The variable adjustment on this mode makes the sensor more or less "sensitive" (if you know what I mean). This setup is the same as in our BMW X3.

unlike BMW, the Audi rain sensing wiper resumes after shutting the engine off. for BMW, you need to turn off the wiper and turn it back on (BMW claims it's a "safety" feature, so you don't break your wipers if they freeze up after turning the motor off).

one click up on the wiper lever. use the little dial thingy on the stalk to set the sensitivity.

I will say that with 6MT and no navigation the Audi ergonomics are great, just like the BMW without iDrive. I can leave my hand on the stick and get all of the controls. The thumb wheels on the Audi steering wheel are neat, but I think I prefer forward/back buttons for selecting tracks. I do like the thumb wheel better for volume, though.
Audi's steering wheel has much nicer leather, the stitching is out of hand sexy in red, and I think the shift **** is a lot more solid and weighted perfectly.
