Met with my SA and other folks from the dealership today. Apparently they get their monthly allocation from Germany between the 10th and 20th each month. They're hopeful, but also noted ability to call in favor from regional manager or get an allocation from another dealer. Would prefer not to walk as I'm getting a sweet deal at $263.00 over invoice.

Ordered mine July 30th and got the same estimated delivery of Oct 17th.
Sounds like the car isn't leaving Germany until next week so the delivery date should be pretty accurate.

Finally got the call from the dealer this morning that my car has arrived.

Order date was May 24th
Released from Factory July 21
Arrived in Halifax, Canada Aug 25th.
Arrived at dealer : Calgary Alberta Sept 13th.

I was speaking to a dealer in the Toronto area, as I am ordering an S4. He told me there is a shortage of engines currently so a factory order placed now would not arrive until late December. Anyone else heard of this?

I ordered my S4 last week. I have a Commission Number and production is set for the week of November 21. That sounds in line with everyone else. One question though - did I read that (one of) the east coast ports is in Rhode Island? If that's the case, hopefully my car will get to Boston within a day or two of arrival at port. Maybe a Christmas present??

I ordered on Sept 12th and the SA in Calgary told me it'd likely be here in early January. The timeline works for me so I didn't probe into the long delay, but it sounds consistent with what you've been told.
