Today, I paid approx. $2K under invoice with the Audi corporate coupons. The 3 socal dealers I spoke with admitted to the coupons ($500 off/per).

MSRP: $59,200
Invoice: $56,082
After coupon discount: $54,437 (+ he threw in some all weather floor/trunk mats)

add TTL, audicare, interior/exterior protection I walked out at just over $61.5K
somehow i locked-in an interest rate of 1.9%.

I pick it up tomorrow, can't wait.

corporate incentive coupons the dealer can throw towards a sale. I got 2 thrown my way ($500/ea.) plus whatever they can take off invoice.

yeah, a GSM told me about it a week ago when I arrived in person to get me to buy that day.

I paid just about $150 over invoice. I follow the same guidelines DrGp recommended. Although, it is sometimes best to go with the middle price and not the lowest.

Check the dealers reputation. I will usually call customer service and ask questions to get a feel of how I would be treated after they have my money. The money you pay for a higher echelon car should also include higher echelon service. And yes get things in writing. If they balk tell them it is to protect both parties.

And lastly, I tell them right up front. You have one chance to pitch me your best price. I will not deal with someone who does the, "Check With My Manager" crap. I walk out of a dealer the minute a salesperson does that.

My motto is: "It's ok to spend money, but not to waste it".

What the heck is interior/exterior protection, and what did the dealer charge you for it?

Assuming you are in L.A., TTL is about $5,200 based on your purchase price. Assuming $850 for AudiCare, you paid $1K+ for this interior/exterior protection? Is this a legit product??

And the Corporate Incentive discounts: Loyalty and/or Conquest Cash? I've never heard of a Corporate Incentive that all buyers will qualify for.

Lucky you, but sounds too good to be true. Let us know how it goes.

Default Thanks to all for the comments/suggestions

Finally agreed on close to $3000 off MSRP for special order S4. Delivery expected late March. There are hardly any S4s on the lots here in the Midwest. Dealers only get 3-5 a year and they sell fast.

Best wishes to all for the new year. Drive safe!
