I ordered a set of VMR V708 in black but they were out of stock. I had to change my order to VMR V718 in black. After I did some googling I discovered the I like the V718 better anyways.

^ Try googling VMR's quality issues.
I wouldn't throw a cheap set of wheels on any car I drove.
I care more about my safety and the safety of my passengers then saving a few bucks.

I tried Googling this and didnt come up with much. I found some post on a BMW forum regarding the delivery of non matching set of 4 wheels and this post on AZ...

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-of-VMR-wheels

...where they talk mostly about how they arent the best wheels on the market but they are good for what you pay for them.

If you have some more info I'd appreciate it. The wheels come with a 1 year warranty. If they give me troubles I will ditch them for better later on. What are some brands that you consider "safe" enough to drive on? This comment makes me think either you are paranoid or you know something I do not Thanks for the help.

Thanks for all the replies. I do agree that the RS4 wheels look fantastic but I had those on my previous S4 and just need a change. I think BBS wheels would be a nice fit - is there any place with more competitve pricing than Tire Rack?

You live in an area that would not seem to get too many potholes. If so, the B8s just look better with 19" wheels. Some might even go to 20s if the local roads are in good shape.

I live right outside of Chicago and have Blizzaks mounted on my 19" OEM wheels. So far so good.

As far as VMR here are just a few examples.

A quick search on Audizine will bring you more.

I have a set of 19" factory wheels that came on the titanium package for sale - less than 1000 miles on them. Mounted with Dunlops.

Forgestar. I know they had some QC and customer service issues a while back but at the time the products were still quite new and they don't seem to have recurred. The flow-form technology is cool, the almost unlimited choice of offsets is very cool indeed, and I really like the looks. Plus they are only moderately expensive, less that $1500 for a set.Forgestar 19' x 9' in Hyper Silver on a B8 A4:
