Default Insurance agent not yet able to rate 2010 S4

Anyone else having this issue?

First she said the system bounced the Vin as incorrect, once we verified it was right she tried to go in by car but she is finding that the car has not yet been assigned a symbol. Just wondered if anyone else who already received their car if finding issues.

On the phone with Progressive now as I'm picking up my S4 tomorrow. They do not have the 2010 S4 in their system and they don't know what to do.

I would tell them that if they cannot keep current models in the system which are valid US sale/tested/approved vehicles, then they need to just charge me for an A4

Well, they are going to put it in their system now that I told them it exists! Will take them about 5 days. Meanwhile, I have coverage on the car beginning tomorrow, but I have no idea what I'm paying for it. And the only evidence that I have coverage is the note they put on my account, which they say is binding.

Unless I am misremembering, you are still fine. You have something like 30 days to get it insured by a company, and can drive a new car on existing insurance from any valid old car (like the one you had prior to the new one) and it's all good.

If you are pulled over, they will see the temp plates and know you won't likely have the Ins card issued already from the company, so I wouldn't sweat that part. I would be more concerned about the bean counters and what THEY think the rates should be.

Same boat I'm in. They said I'm covered while they figure it out- just not sure what it will cost. I had to fax in the sticker to help them get proof to put it in the system with their home office. Pretty crazy.

I shopped around .. most competitors were well over $1200 for 6 months (insane). LM uses rate code 21 if I recall correctly.
