I have been thinking of mods that I want to do to my newly purchased B8 S4 and I am researching the Intake piece now. I have looked around and only found a couple of options. The AWE and the Stratmosphere. I love the sound of Strat. Does anyone have any suggestions for other intake options or talking points on the + or - of either of the ones I listed?

Are there any intakes out there that will not produce that SC whine noise? I don't need people looking at my car because of the noise.

Awe has an intake in the works with dyno showing 9 HP increase. Looks almost stock and doesn't produce sc sound, for those not interested...

I hope AWE is more truthful about not having excessive sound than Stasis is about not having drone. I am tempted to consider the AWE intake.

Same here. Personally I wouldn't consider the Stratmosphere option due to increase noise, but I'm very interested in the AWE one as I've heard there's very little change in sound over stock.

Looking forward to this AWE intake. Has anybody heard anything about when it is going to be released for sale? last I heard it was supposed to be out by now....or really soon.

I was talking to the dealer today and he mentioned that he has seen where just adding a K&N filter and boring some 1 inch holes in the back (non visible) side of the filter box will give the same effect. I don't think I want to drill holes in the box but I don't mind the sound. My K&N will be here soon so I will see how that works first (without holes).

If you can follow up after you get it I'd appreciate it, I've been wondering what a K&N would do in the S4.

1-2 H.P at best,throttle response a smidge better but that could be placebo effect.For 50 bucks thats what you can expect.
