iPhone 4(.1) & 2011 S4 Navigation?
I can't for the life of me get the MMI Navigation to use the addresses that are syncing from my iPhone4 (with the 4.1 OS update) as navigation destinations. Do I REALLY have to use the iPhone contact (which works perfectly for dialing) as a source to make a copy for navigating?

interesting.
try to pull up the contact from the memory menu, not the name button. hit tel, then hit memory (upper left corner i think), then find contact. if there's an address stored with your contact, there should be an option to "navigate to"
lmk
bottom line, "navigate to" should be an option for you.
possibly you have to do this by voice in 2011? possible command might be: "navigate to (john smith)"

I have never been able to use nagigate to with any of my contacts that have an address associated with it. I need to create a new entry with the destination based off of the existing entry in order to be able to navigate to the address. So i have the phonebook entry and then a destination entry with the same name. Been like this since I got my car though when I had a Iphone 3g with iOS 3.x and iPhone 4 with 4.1 is the same. I thought this was normal. If theres a way of just having it navigate to destinations in my contacts list without creating a new entry for them that would be great.

Still can't use the cell phone contacts
Tried the option suggested above. I can't find any way to use the addresses from the phone directly in the Nav program even though they do have addresses defined.
Frustrating to be forced to make a sencond copy of a contact from the phone to easily navigate.
Can't imagine the dealer will be much help, but that may be where I have to go next.

Connected my girlfriends Blackberry to the MMI and it has the same issue. No contacts from the phone can be directly used by the NAV system. All need to be copied (and they are perfect sources for copying a navigation address) before they can be navigated to.
Bummer, seems like either a BIG oversite, or fairly serious bug, since the iPhone and Blackberry used are pretty new on the market, but not so new that they didn't exist when the car was built.
