The Panamera's looks are of course subjective, but i have to say the V6 models with the blacked out chrome trim go a long way to improving the looks of the porsche's disjointed C-pillar.

Also, one thing nobody has mentioned is the hatchback practicality of the Porsche. For those who lament the loss of the S4 Avant in the US, the Panamera is probably the closest thing we can get to a sporty Avant.

I thought it was an H6 engine, not a V6 - one with horizontally opposed cylinders.

yeah i think you're right, my mistake. I was thinking of the Cayenne V6, which I understand is a different engine. "V6" and "Porsche" is a bit blasphemous, I suppose!

The interior materials were a noticeable upgrade. It felt very batmobile.

One thing I will say, I can't find a single girl on the planet who thinks it's a sexy car. But they all love the S4.
I sat in a pretty decked Panamera 4S at the Stuttgart airport during a big Summer picnic. Interior materials were certainly nicer than the S4 - athough they should be for another $20k. I thought the car looked very nice up to the rear of the front door, then it all went to hell in a handbasket from there.. Would I own one?? Nope.. I just see the car as Porsche's half-assed attempt to get into a market where they really shouldn't be - like the Cayenne SUV, which I think is hideous (given it's a Porsche). It does look better in person than in pictures, but still not good enough that I would buy one for the price point.

Only Porsche I would ever own is a 911..

Should test drive a Cayman than. Handles better than the 911 imo.
