Well DrRick. I would say that the resonated Milltek is between the stock exhaust and the non-resonated. Stealthy, but good tunes.

Hey Alex. It was the Twin 2 system on stock downpipes and an MTM chip. Sounded great and there was a noticeable improvement in responsiveness, but for me, the drone between 2,000 and 2,300 rpm was headache inducing. This was back in 2004(?)
I do remember being impressed with the fit and finish. Has all the drone been eliminated from your current exhaust?

Thanks to specially designed Helmholtz Resonators, we've been able to eliminate the drone from our B8 S4 Exhaust systems. I'd also recommend going with our Resonated Downpipes because they feature larger than stock resonators and help mellow out the sound even more.
I realize that my opinion can be taken as a bit biased, but I've driven both S-Tronic and manual transmission cars with our full resonated exhaust (Exhaust + Resonated Downpipes) and I love the dual nature of this system. During around town part throttle driving situations I can hold a conversation at normal levels without any unpleasant sounds coming from the exhaust, yet when I go full throttle it really opens up and puts a smile from ear to ear.
Writing that makes me want to drive our S4 again. I may have to steal the keys for away from Todd later and take her out for a spin.

I can respect trying to stay under the radar, but this car sounds so good with a quality exhaust system that I would find it hard to resist.

OP,
I just purchased the Milltek full res with quad tips and will have Stratmosphere install it this Saturday. They have a shipment of these exhaust arriving at their facility on Friday so if you are still set on the Milltek give Peter from stratmosphere a call as I know he was saying a lot of the exhausts are already spoken for.
Good Luck!

So which is quieter or louder under heavy acceleration, AWE or Milltek full resonated exhaust with downpipes? Do we have any direct comparisons?
It would appear that the Milltek full resonated exhaust with downpipes is quieter under heavy acceleration, than the AWE full resonated exhaust with downpipes ??

To westwest888, Kovacs motors in San Rafael will sell you the resonated. I got a quote from them and if you are a member of Audi Club of NA Golden Gate chapter, you get 10% off. I'm looking at one myself after getting rid of my Stasis exhaust.

Can you post pics. There aren't a lot of good pics of the resonated Millteks.
