They were speculating but my guess is that will be in the ballpark.

Default $60k is pretty accurate I think considering a loaded 6 speed could hit $58k in B7 form

So loaded for 60k would be great especially if that includes ADS and the sport differential.

Default that's a difficult price point.....

about $10k above a 335i, way above a g37, etc....that's before taking discounts into effect. with discounts, even the new m3 isn't far away. i think if the car market is the same when the s4 comes out as it is now, it is going to have to trade in the mid 50's tops.

Default I can get a M3 coupe or sedan for $62K equipped as I would want it.

Probably get a discoun as well since the M3s aren't flying out of the showrooms. If the price is not at least the same as the current S4, sales will be modest at best. What I mean is that the car will not be much of a sales competitor to the 335i and definitely is no longer ann M3 competitor. If I recall, 04 sales were something in the range of 5000 units for S4s

Default How the hell are you people complaining?

Difficult price point? Used M3? Who compares a brand new MSRP to a used car, ever. Absolutely pointless.

Lets compare some actual MSRP prices and not nonsense.

Loaded S4 - ~62k, Includes all the goodies +ADS, sport differential, and of course Quattro.

Loaded M3- ~69k, All the goodies, but no ADS, no sport differential, no Quattro.

335i - ~54k, again no ADS, no sport differential, no Quattro.

Hmm, is this even a contest anymore? The S4 is clearly a better car than the 335i in every way. The $8k difference isn't even close to being a factor. Is the $7k premium worth the M3? We know the only area where the M3 can beat the Audi is performance so far we have two numbers, 0-60 where the M3 wins, and 50-75, where the Audi wins.

Now of course everyone has different tastes in cars and you buy what you want. But the constant PMSing over the Audi price point is absolutely unjustified.
