I think the M3 is only pulling away quickly (at the end) as the S4 lets off the gas. If you listen to the rpm's you can hear that the S4 has really started to cut back by the time the M3 pulls away. Watch again.

IF you listen to the car the last gear is geared so much towards cruising you can barely hear the car, but you still can hear that he is on the throttle.
