Nice. My quartz gray s4 should be here in a month or so. It is going on the boat this Friday. It is interesting how light this color can look in direct sunlight. I love that it looks like 2-3 different colors depending on what light you are in.

I'm in the process of pulling the trigger on Quartz with black/brown too. My only unknown is which trim package to go with? I'm considering all four options and am not really even leaning any direction.

The stainless looks good, but Proogz's carbon atlas looks good too. I've also seen it it with the standard trim which doesn't look bad either. I think the birch is in last place on my list.

Any thoughts?

I like the carbon atlas because I don't love the piano black around the console (I like it, but don't love it). I do love the steel inserts in the door though. I'm pretty much looking at the exact combo as the OP with the exception of carbon atlas, but I am having a debate about one option that's a bit more significant - I can't decide S4 or S5...

By the way, nice ride SCHALTHEBELKNAUF, if you get tired of it ship it down here and I can put the debate to rest on S4 vs. S5. I will find a way to put up with my second favorite door inserts, too.

The S5 vs S4 choice should be pretty straight forward;

Better looking (S5) vs Nice looking (S4)
V8 (S5) vs SC V6 (S4)
poorer mpg (S5) vs better mpg (S4)
Poor back seat entry (S5) vs Easier back seat entry (S4)

And IF you do not want a manual, then Tiptronic (S5) vs DSG (S4)

The trim is really just a matter or personal preference. I went with the Stainless Steel because I saw it in an S5 at a car show and loved the texture of the SS inlays and thought the piano black trim around the center console would go good with the black/brown interior and compliment the gloss black trim arount the MMI ****.

I see you got yours at Audi Brookline, too. Where are you located?

Yes, the differences are straightforward. Unfortunately, the decision is still difficult. And the automatic question compounds things quite a bit because I want a manual (of my 24 years of driving, approximately 20 of them have been with a manual as my primary vehicle) but the wife/kids factor is creeping into play. Unfortunately (or sometimes fortunately), she can't drive a stick and would prefer it if I didn't get one. We'll see. If I ultimately go with an auto tranny, I think I will get the S4 for the DSG plus it's better for the kids getting in and out anyway. Still, the S5 is like a siren's song to me...

All of it is a matter of preference I suppose. In general, your preferences and mine seem pretty closely matched, though. The Quartz over Brown combo is my personal top choice. And make no mistake, I really like the stainless trim, but I think I'd lean carbon in the end. Thanks for posting the pics - one of the few sets of pics of quartz and brown I've seen where the color balance isn't way out of whack on the tuscan.

Default brown on black

the brown here looks quite red. Is it really that deep of a brown? I'm still up in the air....

Lovely color, definitely goes well with darker exterior.

Sigh, i have 3 under 8, messy lil critters, carry concealed weapons such as markers, Tootsy Rolls, KitKats that melt into any crease etc. etc.

Skunk Alcantara was the bravest i could do, i'll keep the Tuscan in mind for the R8 after i send them to college, if i won't have to save money for cat food by then
