Default Need Close Up Pics of Gray Birchwood

Anyone have Gray Birch Inlays or closeup pics of this color? The AUDI site and the pics in the A4/S4 manual seem to look a bit diff. The manual pics look a bit brown. The AUDI site where you build the car looks more gray. Below is what the the AUDI site looks like with red/black, which I think looks nice, as long as thats what the color of the inlays look like

If you need something not seen here, I can take other pics but the gray is the color of the tree's bark, the wood is brown.

Yeah, apparently the current Gray Birch Inlays are more brown.

My 2001 B5 S4 had Gray Birch Inlays & they were really gray & nice. I don't like the brown on the current version.

The 2001 gray birch looks more like this, much better than 2010/2011;

damn, I dont understand why AUDI usa shows more of a gray. I mean its not even close. I may have to cross out the gray birch and settle for the default, which looks like aluminum or nickle finish. I am not a carbon fiber fan so I dont want that and the SS doesnt appeal to me either

Yes, after reviewing the options, I went with the default aluminum, which I think looks nice (I have black interior)

ya, the brown will not look good with the Magma RED/Black. AUDI is trying to help me locate a gray birch locally so I can see it but it definitely looks like I am going to have to scratch the gray birch based on the pics. I guess the good news is I am paying $500 less for the car but I thought more of a gray wood will look nice. No wonder the brochure shows the gray birch with brown nappa seats.

Really? I have the stainless steel trim and it looks great. Plus it comes with the sleek piano black center console. I think this is the best trim combo offered for the S4. You should see it in person before dismissing it. Go to your dealer and just ask to see a car on the lot that has it.

well the black console is actually what i dont like. I would much rather have an aluminum trim around the console and then apply the %500-$700 to another option (or just chalk it up as a savings) but thats just me.
