I change mine every 5k and use Mobile 1 0W-40. Typically, I'll wait until Advance or Auto Zone has a 5Qt sale with filter for $30 or so and stock up. The owner's manual allows for three weights. 5W-40, 0W-40, and 5W-30. My wife's BMW X535d takes Castrol SLX Professional OE, only available at the BMW dealer but could be used in the S4 as it meets/exceeds 502 00, 504 00 et al. I would use Mobile 1 in Canada; all the time.

I'm looking to change every 7000km so about half way to having my service. I'm really aggressive lol

I don't have Audi care anymore since the car is at 81k

I've been pondering Lubro Moly Voll-Synthese 5w40. Any thoughts?
I'm partial to Pennzoil Ultra Euro 5W-40. It meets the VW 502.00 specification and I've read some positive comparisons.

7k would seem to be the right mileage for an oil change.

I'm partial to the Castrol 5w-40. When I used the mobil 0w-40 I found that I was using a little more oil and had to add before the next oil change. I haven't had to do so using the above mentioned Castrol. just my two cents.

FYI, Mobil 1 is not 100% synthetic . It contains some highly refined dino oil. Still a good product.

Default 0W-40 is approved by Audi

I have a 2014 S4 and the owners manual states that 0W-40 is acceptable as long as it is 502-00 certified.

True. I was thinking it would be like all season tires. You'd get better performance if you use summer tires, and when you need better grip in the snow, snow tires are better than all seasons.

Would I notice a difference if I use a "summer oil" and a "winter oil" (if that even exists!)
