Opinion - B8 S4 or B8 A4 (tuned) or 335xi Sedan for Daily Driver

S4 is around 3,650 lb. in manual trim...not lightweight, but not 2 tons either.
I bought an S4 couple of weeks ago. Coming from a B5 1.8T A4 (3150 lbs.) the weight difference is noticeable, but the car handles it really well, especially with the sport diff. You can get big power from the 2.0, but the one thing I won't miss about my 1.8 (270 hp at the wheels) will be the loss of civility in a daily driver. Not to mention all the other stuff that needs to be upgraded on a car that was designed for far less power (think clutch, brakes, gear ratios, etc.)
Daily driver..S4 all day. Really nice package out of the box.

"Don't want to waste a great car / spend a good deal of money on a car sitting in the garage in the summer and only really use it in foul weather or winter."
Why not just keep the '07 S4 you already have?

I don't think the S4 is overly heavy, its just the BMW has perfect balance (nearly 50/50) and the S4 is 55/45 or so. This affects the feel a bit. It makes the BMW feel lighter, but the S4 is so much more car on pretty much every level.

Isn't the 335 about the same in weight? (It listed 3605 on their own site, and I'm not even looking at a 335xi, just the rear drive unit.

The car is getting annoying in regards to fuel consumption and maintenance costs.

That is not the correct weight, it's right at 4,000 lbs and has been weighed by numerous online and paper magazines as such.

Interesting...Audi specs show it at 3650. Pretty significant difference.

There is a post somewhere in the last year with a guy who put on new coilovers and had his car corner balanced, it showed the weight of the car on each wheel as well as total, it was ~3,974 or so IIRC.
