Obviously the future dates are estimates, but why aren't all the dates filled in? As the car gets built and transported, will these dates be filled in?
This is my first ordered car purchase and am very excited. Thanks in advance.

Wow.. the initial estimate is five months from order to delivery? Is it normal that the initial timeframe would be that long but then would shorten as production happens, or is there a spike in orders that's leading to this kind of lead time?

They have been going back and forth on my dates a bit too for the my11. Initially I ordered with an early Aug delivery date. Then it bumped to anywhere between late July and early Sept. I believe it is still in the factory order bank so I haven't bothered to track it for a better estimate. I think they really have no clue and are kind of at the mercy of Audi. I do agree with what others have said though - better to guess late and have it come early than guess early and have it come late.

Have they even started MY11 production yet? I'm guessing 2010 production will run until the first portion of June.

Still wondering if dealer will get updates on the missing dates mentioned earlier.

If you have a commission number you can call AOA (1-800-822-2834, option 4) directly get the new dates. If I had to rely on my dealer, I would be waiting forever for an update. Each dealer has a different allocation and the dealer allocation availability is what determines what the dealer can order.
