Default For owners: actual gas mileage?

Hi everybody,
I am looking at possibly buying the new S4. Among many other things, the gas mileage ratings of the S Tronic (28hwy) is a factor in my decision. My question to owners is, what kind of mileage are you seeing in the real world?
A previous post said one owner is getting 18-20 average, mostly highway, which makes me wonder.
Thanks,
Stuart

S - Tronic: First 1,000 miles approx 4 tanks of gas ranging from 17 - 20mpg for each tank. 85% freeway driving (70-80mph), 15% city.

~22 MPG on a 1500 mile road trip i recently took. I cruise around 85-90 on the highway.

Just rolled 800miles and I am getting about 20-21MPG. Probably an 80% City to 20% HWY split right now.

Anyone with the Sport Dif or Drive Select notice much of a difference between 'comfort' and 'dynamic' mode MPG wise? Surprisingly I am not noticing to much of a difference.

Pretty much exactly my driving profile and MPG results. I used 93octane in each fillup; use D on the freeway (85%), and S or M in the city.

I'm 2 tanks into it:

16.4 on the first one
18.9 on the second.

Yes all city, yes S Tronic in Sport, yes I'm on it slightly...

you guys wont see any real improvement on those numbers until after about 3500 miles. once the motor is fully broken in you should see some improvement.

Not to mention until the ECU has also had a chance to adjust to the drivers style and the engine feedback from the various sensors and lock in the best fuel/air ratio.

That's incorrect. This engine has closed loop fuel air ratio control, using a wideband O2 lambda sensor. It is always adjusting for optimal emissions.
