Default Pirelli Cinturato P7

Anyone have the Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires come with there S4? Did a little reading on these tires, they are Pirelli's Green Performance approach to tires with low rolling resistance and a higher tread wear rating than the other stock tires formerly allocated to S4's. I did my first gas mileage check @ 600 miles and like the results so far....slightly over 20 mpg in town driving 100% of the time and about 20% aggressive driving. That's pretty good results for a new car with less than 1000 miles on it.

One of the owners reported thay are pretty decent in the snow too.
I have P7 too; I like them but they are a bit on the noisy side.
Report on your gas mileage on the freeway.

I would not drive those tires in the snow though. I have a set with only 120 miles on them with wheels if anybody interested.

That was me. I wouldn't ever recommend using summer tires for the snow, but that being said, I was quite surprised with their performance this winter for those times I actually went out (I only drive on weekends and only when roads are plowed and plenty of salt is laid down). They actually had better grip than my Pirelli P6 Four Seasons on my A3, which were fairly crappy, IMO.

Highway mpg is pretty good... about 22-26 mpg depending on traffic. The tires are very quiet on smooth pavement.

When cornering, they feel like they stick like glue... but the Sports Diff is a factor, so it's hard to notice the tires' limits in normal driving.

Maybe other S4 owners can describe what wheel size, tires they are using and what mpg they are getting with that set up?

I have the P7's and like them. The ride is on the rough side at 40psi which is to be expected I guess with 40 ratio. As for mileage, using cruise, I get an indicated 26 to 28 mpg (65-70mph) on my commute of some 25 miles. I use 93 octane Shell or BP.

I have 255/40/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS tires at 37 psi. Averaging actual 18.8 MPG for 31 MPH average speed from fill up. Computer MPG is 19.6 MPG (0.8 MPG high). ~12-16 mile commute, lots of stoplights.

sounds like you are getting pretty good gas mileage for you tire set up, considering your tires are slightly smaller in diameter and weigh appro. 4 lbs more per tire.
