Collinite is very inexpensive, only takes a small amount, you put it on and polish with it, then remove - no drying time. It waxes and cleans, so makes the next time they get sooty an easy wipe with a rag instead of needing to scrub again.

Works great on my SS APR tips, they look like new after 2 years and 30K miles of driving in all conditions. Also used this on my buddy's 335i stock tips that he had not touched for a year of driving. Took 3 applications and a lot of force, but removed all the carbon and had them looking new in 10 minutes.

I am very surprised no one has taken the op posts to the level it begs for. Sorry can't be adult all the time. C'mon.."Polish My Pipes" --hahahaha my wife would slap me upside the head at this point.

Default Aluminum Foil +Pepsi/Coke

The absolute best way to clean your chrome tail pipes is to simply take a piece od reynolds aluminum foil and pour some coke or pepsi onto it--then run the foil with the pepsi/coke on it over the tail pipes!

The chemistry of the aluminium foil with the carbonation of the coke and/or pepsi cleans the chrome instantly.

Its amazing how fast and easy it is to clean chrome and/or stainless stell with just a sheet of aluminum foil and a can of coke or pepsi.

The oxidation and exhaust stains just disappear with a few stroke of the aluminum foil.

I got this tip from the detailer at Performance BMW in Chapel Hill.

Prior to my S4 I had an 07' 335i and he passed along this "trick" to keeping the tail pipes looking brand new.

As previously stated in this thread, the 850 Metal Wax. I think I got mine from Autogeek.net - it's a 16oz bottle, just have to shake well for a few minutes before use, and a very little amount is required, should last several years.

I use Flitz to polish all the chrome bath/kitchen faucets. Love it!

Yes--very happy. I sold my 07 335i to my cousin who unfortunately totaled his Maxima back in early March.

I first looked at the F30 335i sport, auto, with 19s. I was very disappointed! I think if you had the N54 twin turbo its hard to be happy with the single N55.

I also did not like the looks of the F30---it was clearly a hybrid of the E90 and F10 body styles.

Just really disappointed with the F30 335i--took it for 2 test drives and just couldn't fall in love.

So I went over to the Audi dealer and test drove an S4 and it was LOVE at first test drive!!
