If this is for track use, a 255/35/18 on an ET45 wrapped in Advan Sports would perform well. Increasing mechanical grip via tire size is one parameter however suspension should be next on the list.

My plan is to go with Hoosiers to be honest. All my Porsches had RA1's and I always wanted to have a real track tire. I don't want a street tire for the track.
I will be getting suspension at some point but right now I am looking at getting into a true track car instead of using my S4 for track use. So this post was intended to get info for right now.

Sorry, I forgot you are looking at 18x8....255/35 recommended wheel widths are 8.5-10" so ideally a 9" wheel if available.

Srsly? I post that I want them and will be using them specifically for the track and then you say you don't agree with me because of the look...LOL
I don't care what they LOOK like on the track. A wider track would be better than a narrow track and as long as they don't rub, I'm good with that.
