Hi All:

This is my first post here, but hopefully not my last. I'll be placing my order for a 2010 S4 tomorrow, and I'm obviously really excited. I've made my decision on the options I'd like, but am still waffling on color.

I will be getting the S-tronic DGS transmission, silk napa seats (black on black), Nav, sport rear differential, and MAYBE the B&O sound system. I'm not crazy about the "starfish" design of the 19" wheels, so for now I'm sticking with the stock 18" wheels.

Right now, I'm still undecided on color, between the quartz gray and meteor gray. So how do you folks feel about those two colors?

I personally prefer darker colors, so for me it was between deep sea blue and meteor grey. My current car is very similar to deep sea blue, so I opted for the meteor grey to try something different. Quartz is also a great color, but for me it was too close to "silver" and I didn't want another silver car. Here's a few shots of meteor (not my car)...

I should have my quartz gray S4 next week. Not soon enough to help you in your decision, but quartz and meteor were the 2 colors I debated. I settled on quartz because the meteor A4 they had on the lot looked kind of flat in overcast light compared with a quartz A4. Meteor seems to be a little more complex color than quartz, with blue and green hues that come out in different light. There are some great pics of both quartz and meteor cars here if you wade through the threads.

Sound slike you went through a very similar thought process. Right now, I'm leaning (as you did) to the quartz gray....but I'm still flip-flopping every 30 minutes or so.

Decisions....decisions!
