I really like the looks of them on my car. Debadging and rebadging really is very easy with just a hairdryer and some dental floss.

On the rear you have a plate and the brake lights so the red badge isn't the only pop of color. On the front it doesn't stick out as much with the DRLs and all the chrome on the grill.

I debated on the red flag vs. the CF too. In the end, it seemed to me that the red flag is how Audi distinguishes the S series, and keeping that theme from front to back made more sense to me.
