Did anyone buy Audi or Thule roof rack ?
Need some feedback about fitment and look.

I haven't been able to find any info regarding the yakima rack parts needed for the new B8 S4, but I'm hoping and praying my rack from my B6 S4 will fit. Won't know until august though, so that's not much help, sorry.

For Yakima, the fitment can be found under 2009 A4 (same B8 platform as the 2010 S4). All parts were the same as for my B7 A4. The fitment instructions for the B8 just required that I move the Q towers further out on the bars from the B7 fitment.

I went to a Thule dealer yesterday .
The guy show me the fit kit + foot packs + load bars .
I can get black load bar or aluminum profiled for $100 more .
Thule does not use the insert on the car .
Does Audi use it ?
Also length of the load bar is standart 50 inch so bar goes outside of the fixure .
Audi probably use a custom bar ,are they ?
Do you have picture of the bar on the car ? Audi website does not show a close pic .

Not sure I understand your comment, but I edited my post to clarify that moving the Q towers out further was per the fitment instructions from Yakima.

audi does use the insert. it's covered in protective rubber where it touches car and was a little cheeper than thule. looks better imho too. attachments still slide in the channel at the top like vw and my other audi rack.

I installed an older Thule rack by upgrading with the fit kit for the B8. It does use the "holes" in the car if this is what you mean by the insert. The fit is really good.
