RS4 vs B8S4 Quattro sytems.
Take the SD out of the equation.... is the RS4 Quattro and the S4 Quattro system the same? I'm curious if there were any improvements in the B8 setup (again, taking away the SD) over that of the RS4.

No, they are still different. B8 is when the 60% rear bias started if I recall, so the RS4 being a B7 still has a 50/50 power split, and B8 has 40/60 rear bias.
RS5 is another itteration more advanced than the B8 S4 with a new center crown gear and front ABS stepping in to accent the sport diff in the rear.

Yeah, I knew about the RS5 after watching the 30 years of Quattro video. I didn't know that before watching it however.
That's what got me thinking about the B8 Quattro system.

No, RS4 was 40/60 rear bias as well.

If you are only looking at the quattro system, then SD is the only major difference, unless there are changes over and above what the ECU reads and does using ABS. There is still weight distribution, brakes, tire sizes, and a ton of other differences between them overall though.

I'm 99% sure of that, if I recall my memory, the B7RS4 was the 1st implementation of the 40/60 torque bias ratio
/EDIT If I recall, even the last generation of B7S4 has the 40/60 rear bias as of 2007 M6 model. It's an implementation of the Quattro generation V.

The 2007 RS4 had a "40/60 rear-biased" torque split" per the Model Guide here on audiworld.com.
I'm wondering how to get the Model Guide updated for the newer S4 model years on audiworld... anyone know who can do it?

I believe the B7 RS4 also had a system called Dynamic Ride Control which was a sort of active suspension able to adjust the shocks - I think the shocks diagonal to each other - to effectivley keep the car level during cornering. This, combined with the 40/60 split quattro, made for one very nice handling car.
