Yes, they work great, and you don't need the expensive HP on these cars. A dual will give you jam to gun front protection, and a quad will give you front/rear. They are also perfectly legal in most states, but it is recommended that if you have them and get hit, you slow down to a reasonable speed and then turn off the jammer to allow the cop to get your speed. They'll be none the wiser and jammers will hopefully stay legal.

They won't save you from pacing, but combine them with a good radar detector and some situational awareness and you'll have a great setup with very low odds of getting ticketed.

The g37x was second choice for me. It's about 10K cheaper on purchase price and cheaper to own (residual value and maintenance costs) and more reliable. Gas mileage probably a litte better. However a little slower, less attractive in 4 door, and very common.

I must be vain.

Handling is probably decent given rear drive bias of the AWD system.

In my area G37s were pretty uncommon up until about a year ago. Now I see a few of them a day.

As for the AWD system, it's only AWD when accelerating from a stop or when slippage is detected, otherwise during regular driving 100% of the power goes to the rear wheels.

I am surprised by the results. I had a 6MT G37 sedan for a few years (and a G35 before it), and the S4 is considerably faster all the way around. The 6MT is faster than the X, especially from a roll. I raced an S4 a couple of times from both a dig and roll, and it destroyed me by 5+ car lengths from a dig to about 100, and at least 3 cars from 20-100. Note that the S4 was a DSG, and that probably helped, but it was stock. My G37 had a tune, exhaust, and intake (not much in terms of gains, but...).

Don't get me wrong, for a $37k car, it is a hell of a deal, but without a major jump it should not be a close race. Exterior styling I'll call a toss up, and the G interior is a 6ish, while the S4 is more like and 8. I was a long time Nissan/Infiniti owner and still a big fan, but the S4 is in a different class all around.

Something's up with that video. I beat a 370z stock pretty easily 60-120 or so (in Mexico of course) and it's the same engine in a lighter package. They're more powerful than you might think, but I had a carlength and started in 4th

This video shows a 2013 S-Tronic S4. Maybe Audi changed something in ECU SW for MY'2013?

I also considered the G37xS; albeit briefly. In the end, just couldn't do it. Too bland and no fold down rear seats either. BTW, gas mileage is 17/25 IIRC..........so actually a bit worse.
