I think AUDI made a mistake with the dark gray S4 grill. It really looks awful on Black cars too. What was AUDI thinking? S4's are badass cars and gray grills with chrome dont cut it. Its my only beef with the S4. I will be ordering RED so I can get away with it but If I had a choice, I would paint that SOB to matt black finish or even shiny black like the A4 prestige model

I mean... everybody has their cup of tea. Your opinion is as good as anybody elses.

But I'm not sure that the S4 was supposed to be "bad ***"... maybe more like a classy sports sedan. Maybe an understated bad *** at best.

I actually think the blacked out look is kinda cheap and juvenile. Maybe its just cuz I'm a tad older.... but i never quite followed the whole black rims/black everything fad. I remember seeing blacked out rides on MTV and hip-hop music videos and thinking it looked ghetto.

The black grille makes the car look new, instead of looking like an old 1970s car. Looks much better.

Getting the titanium packages fixes it.

heh, on the second one they are basically urging A4 owners to make their cars into pseudo-S4s (although they screw up and say "B8" instead of "A44".

Thanks man. I know that there is the Titanium Sport Package that will give you a black grill and a few other things but it also gives you titanium-finish wheels which I definitely do not want. I would definitely have to say NO THANKS to the titanium finish wheels but the package also has a headliner, "supportive sport seats" and a suspension difference. Can anyone elaborat on the details of this option?

Just note, the wheels are the easiest thing to change & there are a lot of people willing to buy Titanium wheels.

How about this? I have always hated the Large Mouth bass look. So I went with a pseudo B6 look. Some won't like it, but the black(gloss or matte) is also an improvement.

I agree and also agree that we all have different opinions. IMO, The gray just takes away from the aggressive look which begins with the DRL's.

I have a 2009 A4 prestige V6 which came with a shiny black grill which I liked over the black matt grill. So you can imagine how I feel going to a gray look.

The outer chrome with shiny black IMO is the best. Then outer chrome with black matt finish is 2cnd. Seems that if I want a black grill of some sort, I may have to sacrfice the chrome part of the grill, unless I just take the grill it comes with and get it painted black (shiny or matt finish)
