priced at about $49K. Sheesh, for that money, I'd DEFINITELY make the reach to an S4, of course, that assumes the S4 Avant ever comes here.

yes, your golf clubs will fit in your trunk, but it's tougher for kayaks, some bikes, cargo boxes, etc.
you know, people having more fun than you...

try racking 3 bikes and a tandem on a SUV without a ladder. I've put up to four bikes, a tandem and wheels on my Avant. My wife also has no problem putting her bike up there as well. Plenty of room for 4 and gear.

I never bought a roof rack for my 9-3 Wagon because it was only intended to be a short term car. It was even shorter term than I thought because I turned it in Monday after 19 months!!!!
Anyway, I've got to look at a rack system for my new wagon (photo below). I think I will be a bit limited due to the new roof rail design. However, I really bought the car for the interior space.
