Default SD cards/Audi Music Interface

I noticed during my test drive that there are two SD card slots, my sales rep said for music. Does anyone know if this would work the same as an iPod ? (Shows albums/artists/titles etc)

Yes, it does and you can also copy the music from the SD card to the internal hard disk drive ("Jukebox") in the MMI.

Cool, I have a Zune now but I was going to buy an iPod just to get the integration, SD cards makes it much easier.

In addition to the built-in SD card slots and on-board hard drive, the 2010 S4 also comes with a cool interchangable connector feature built into the glovebox. The car comes with an iPod connector by default but you can buy 3 other connectors (called AMI cables (Audi Multimedia Interface)) if so desired.
  1. A mini usb - used on handhelds
  2. A female USB - used for connecting flash drives and the like
  3. A 3.5 mm headphone jack.
I've got all 4 and they work perfectly. For example, when i connected my HTC Touch Pro 2 (Windows Smartphone) to the car, the MMI system automatically searched the storage card and displayed the contents onscreen.

Now, if only i could figure out how to stream music via Bluetooth (i.e. A2DP).

You can connect the Zune also through the USB cable (check the other thread asking about the MMI), it just doesn't allow you to control the Zune like it does the iPod is all.

The more I read about this car the more I realize I made the right decision. Each and every thread I read is filled with cool new features about the car I didn't know about. The owners manual must be 1000 pages.

Haha! Some of this isn't in any manual I have been able to find, just "undocumented features" really

Yeah, many features are lightly touched-upon in the manual. It probably would be 1000 pages if Audi thoroughly documented all features in detail, but they probably didn't want to scare people away from reading the manual, so they kept many things (overly) brief.
